The program provides public awareness/education related to nutrition and physical activity for people in Los Angeles County and nationwide. Services include internet information resources, medical information lines, nutrition education and printed materials. There are no geographic restrictions.

The program provides information and public awareness/education on various topics related to nutrition and physical activity including body mass index (BMI), obesity, breastfeeding and screening and evaluations specifically for women. The program also has information on CDC programs that include the Kids Walk to School campaign, the 5 a Day campaign and the National Bone Health campaign.
