The organization is dedicated to eliminating racial discrimination and segregation in all aspects of public life in America, protecting the right to vote for all qualified American citizens and ensuring equal justice under the law for all people. There are no geographic restrictions.

This branch provides a variety of services for people who live in Pasadena and the San Gabriel Valley including voter registration and education, advocacy with regard to the the criminal justice system, job listings and comprehensive community education programs that are designed to apprise individuals of their rights and responsibilities under the law and of the adverse effects of racial discrimination. The agency also provides specialized information and referral to social service agencies, legal services, tutoring and mentoring programs.

It also supports the nationwide ACTSO and Back-to-School/Stay-in-School programs which promote academic excellence in youth and work to intervene in the rate of minority school drop-outs. Membership is not required for participation in activities. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call for information about the organization, membership, and services. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE While membership is not required, it is encouraged. Membership fees vary with the type of membership desired.
