On the Job Training ( Chefs/Cooks )

The agency provides employment services for low income people. Services include internship programs and on the job training targeted to chefs and cooks. To qualify, people must be motivated and must have at least 60 days of sobriety. People who live in the central and western parts of Los Angeles may apply.
The Culinary Training Program prepares homeless and low-income unemployed people, age 18 and older, for jobs in food services. The program trains participants for jobs like food prep/sous-chef, and includes preparation for interviews and help with resume writing. The Internship Program provides an internship program in hospital food services and other restaurants. The program is 10 weeks and includes job readiness training and job search/placement services. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call to apply. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are no fees for services.
