The agency provides transportation services in the City of Long Beach and surrounding communities. Services include mass transit services, including local bus service, shuttle services, and local water transportation services. Pass sales and trip information are provided at two locations. The service area encompasses the City of Long Beach, Lakewood and Signal Hill, with connections available to light rail and transit services to Los Angeles, El Segundo, Norwalk and neighboring cities of Carson, Compton, Paramount, Bellflower, Artesia, Cerritos, Hawaiian Gardens and Seal Beach.

In addition to mass transit buses, the program operates three shuttle services to various districts such as the Passport shuttle tourist attractions such as the Queen Mary; the Pine Avenue Link, a shuttle to the downtown shopping areas; and the Village Tour D'art, a shuttle to the art district.

Local water transportation includes the Aqua Link and the AquaBus. Two shuttles and two water buses run during the summer months only. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call the Regular Service number for information. Passes may be purchased at the Long Beach Transit Main Office and the Transit Mall locations. Discount passes for seniors or disabled passengers require approved ID. Medicare cards may be used as proof of eligibility for senior discount fares, although senior may qualify for the discounted fare at age 62. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE The regular fare is $1.25; a day pass is $4.00; a 30 day pass is $65; and, a 5 day pass is $18. The reduced fee for senior and the disabled, with proper ID, is $.60, $2.50 for a day pass, and $9.00 for a five day pass. All passes will be loaded on a TAP card. The Aqualink is $5.00. The Aquabus is $1.
