Low Income Home Loans ( Single Fathers )

The program provides housing services for low-income people who live in the City of Los Angeles. Services include homebuyer/home purchase counseling, individualized development accounts, low income home loans, minority business development and mortgage delinquency and default counseling. The program targets women with children and single fathers. Services are restricted to City of Los Angeles residents.

The program provides community economic development in the City of Los Angeles. It includes affordable housing, credit counseling and access to low cost loans for eligible people.

The IDA (Individual Development Account) is a matched saving account available to low-income individuals that help participants accumulate appreciating assets in homeownership and micro-enterprise. To participate in the program individuals or families must meet the 200% Federal Poverty Guidelines, qualify to receive the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) or qualify to receive TANF benefits. The program provides financial literacy education, homeownership and mortgage counseling, micro-enterprise training and case management including referral services, counseling and peer support groups. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call the administrative office for information. An appointment is required. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are no fees for service.
