The program provides specialized information and referral, houses mutual support groups, provides technical assistance, offers volunteer opportunities and has an information center for adults and adolescents in Los Angeles County.

Self-help groups offered include those for anger management, depression and other affective and mood disorders, post partum depression, domestic violence, eating disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, Hepatitis-C, low self-esteem, Recovery Inc., Secular Organizations for Sobriety (SOS), women survivors of child abuse, and various twelve-step groups (Adult Children of Alcoholics, Alcohol Anonymous, Cleptomaniacs and Shoplifters Anonymous, Clutterers Anonymous, Cocaine Anonymous, Co-Dependents Anonymous, Divorce Anonymous, Emotions Anonymous, Fear of Success Anonymous, Gamblers Anonymous, Marijuana Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, Nicotine Anonymous, Overeaters Anonymous, Recovering Couples Anonymous, Survivors of Incest Anonymous).

The agency provides daily groups for people who have a dual diagnosis of mental disorder and substance use disorder. The Dual Recovery Anonymous group is a twelve-step oriented group; the SOS group is a non-spiritual alternative to the twelve-step approach. All groups are led by a group member who has dual diagnosis.

The program also provides technical assistance for anyone who wants to start their own group. This includes individuals as well as professional organizations such as hospitals or clinics. On-site visits are available.

The program also offers volunteer opportunities and encourages volunteers who are developmentally and physically disabled, mentally ill and ex-offenders.

The program maintains an information center where the public can find housing and job listings and other information.

The agency provides a meeting space for self-help groups of all kinds. The rent is determined by the proceeds of the donation basket that is passed after each meeting. Groups may reserve a time and a room with no cost for their self-help group. The agency provides rooms of various sizes. SHARE! Culver City has free parking. SHARE! Downtown is near the Pershing Square exit of the Metro Red Line. LANGUAGES OTHER THAN ENGLISH Cambodian, French, Hebrew, Korean, Mandarin, Russian, Spanish and Thai; support groups are available in other languages including Armenian, Farsi, Japanese, Korean and Spanish. A language line service assists with interpretation for 180 languages. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call, walk-in for service or visit the agency's website. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE A donation of $2.00 is suggested at the self-help groups. There are no fees for information and referral or telephone technical assistance; there are fees for on-site training workshops.
