Nutrition Education ( Older Adults )

Provider: LOS ANGELES COUNTY AGING AND DISABILITIES DEPARTMENT - ALTADENA SENIOR CENTER

The center provides services for older adults age 50 and older who live in Altadena. Services include blood pressure screenings, nutrition education, peer counseling, recreational/leisure/arts instruction, social clubs/events, specialized information and referral services and tax assistance. Services are targeted, but not restricted, to Altadena residents. There are no geographic restrictions.

Health screenings are scheduled on a regular basis and includes a blood pressure check. A full fitness center and spa are available at the site. A congregate meal program of the Intervale Senior Services is housed at the center, see the separate entry. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call or walk in for information or for service. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are no fees for many services; donations are requested for some services, while some require a fee.
