Outreach Programs ( Substance Use Disorders, Inmates, Christian Community, Men )

Provider: CATHOLIC RAINBOW OUTREACH

The program provides Christian-oriented residential treatment for substance use disorder for adult men, age 18 and older. Residents must make a minimum one-year commitment to the program. There are no geographic restrictions.

The program accepts residents who are court-ordered or self-referred, including men who come to the program from correctional facilities or the community; however the program is not certified to meet diversion requirements and does not accept sex offenders. Services include individual and group counseling, peer support and participation in a structured community. Residents are expected to complete daily work assignments, devote time to Bible study and prayer, and to participate in recreational and fellowship activities.

The program also provides outreach to incarcerated adults and youth in California and Mexico. Men who complete the program and meet other qualifications may be asked to talk with men who are still in prison. People who become involved with the organization become part of the ministry and are expected to make a minimum commitment of one year. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call or walk in for information. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are fixed fees; GR and SSI are accepted for those who qualify; some types of insurance are accepted; and individuals who meet qualifications are not turned away due to inability to pay.

Office hours are Monday and Friday, 9:00am to 11:30am and 3:00pm to 4:00pm; Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 9:00am to 11:30am and 2:00pm to 3:00pm; Saturday, 9:00am to 11:30am. The program operates Monday through Sunday, 24 hours per day.
