Parent/Infant Swimming Instruction ( Developmental Disabilities )

The agency provides services for people with disabilities, offering specialized classes for people who have developmental or physical disabilities. Services include aquatic therapy, independent living skills instruction and parent/infant swimming instruction.

Adults who have developmental disabilities and who are referred by the Regional Center participate in the Stride Program which assists people to develop or enhance social and independent living skills. Water exercise classes are available for adults who have multiple sclerosis and arthritis, and swimming instruction is offered for people age one and one-half and older who have disabilities. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call or walk in to apply. A referral is required from Regional Center for the Stride Program. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE Membership rates vary with age and family size. There are set fees for some activities, and other activities are included in the membership fee. Regional Center pays the fees for people it refers to the Stride Program.
