Parenting Skills Classes ( Hispanic/Latino Community )

The program provides parenting classes for individuals of all ages. Services are targeted, but not restricted, to the Spanish-speaking community. Services include parenting skills classes. There are no geographic restrictions.
Parenting classes focus on child development, communication, discipline and adolescence. This is an ongoing 52-week program based on the Confident Parenting Program of the Center for the Improvement of Child Rearing and provides the required training for the Department of Children and Family Services. A certificate is presented at completion of the program. The agency also provides a Foster Care Program which trains foster parents and monitors children placed in foster care by the Department of Children and Family Services. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call for information. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE The fee is $20 per each class. A sliding scale fee may be available to people who qualify; call for more information.
