Parenting Skills Classes ( Korean Community )
Provider: KOREAN AMERICAN FAMILY SERVICES
The center provides child abuse services for people of all ages. Services are targeted, but not restricted, to the monolingual Korean community, including recent immigrants. Services include child abuse counseling, child abuse prevention, court ordered parenting programs and parenting skills classes. There are no geographic restrictions.
The center's child abuse services include prevention, intervention and treatment for abused children and their families and for perpetrators. Educational presentations about child abuse are provided to community groups in greater Los Angeles. Children's enrichment programs are also presented by the center.
Staff provide verification and progress reports to the court. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call to apply. Court ordered individuals must attend an intake interview and provide court documents or a court case number. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are fixed fees; sliding scale fee is available; call for more information. Some scholarships available to waive fees.
