The program provides emergency food for qualified people and families who live in the service area, including people who are undocumented and people who are homeless. Eligibility includes low-income requirements that are based on 150% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. Services include ongoing emergency food assistance services, and sack lunches/dinner services which includes sack lunches for homeless individuals and those with no food storage or cooking facilities. Services are restricted to Altadena, Arcadia, Azusa, Baldwin Park, Bradbury, Duarte, Irwindale, Monrovia, Pasadena, South Pasadena, Sierra Madre, and Temple City area residents.

The family food program provides staples such as canned vegetables, fresh produce, meat, beans, rice, macaroni and dairy products are available once a month. The amount of food is based on family size and is approximately 7 to 10 day supply. People may apply for assistance once per month and return weekly for perishables of fresh produce, diary and bakery items. Pet food is available at both Monrovia and Pasadena locations.

Bag lunches for the Homeless are distributed three times a week at the Monrovia location.

Homebound grocery delivery is available once per month for homebound older adults and people with disabilities.

The Pasadena site provides the family food program for low-income individuals and information and referral. It does not provide sack lunches for the homeless.

The agency also provides information and referral to other resources in the area, including medical and dental services. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call or walk in for an appointment and to register for the program; referrals are accepted. First-time applicants have a face-to-face interview with staff; CADL or CAID for the head of household, ID for all family members, proof of residence and proof of income are required at the time of the interview. People who are homeless must provide identification. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are no fees for services.
