Psychiatric Case Management ( TANF Recipients )

The agency provides welfare-to-work support services for mentally/emotionally disturbed men and women who receive or are eligible to receive CalWORKs and live in SPA's 5 and 8. There are no geographic restrictions.
Services may include general counseling services, including individual, couple and family therapy; mental health evaluation; and psychiatric case management. An assessment for medical conditions which may aggravate the mental/emotional condition and appropriate referrals are also made.
If the child of a CalWORKs recipient has a mental or emotional disorder which constitutes a barrier to the parent's employment or further participation in the CalWORKs program, the program provides assessment, child guidance, family counseling and parenting skills development under the same conditions as the recipient herself. The program serves youth from birth to age 18.
Child care is provided and transportation assistance, such as van pick-up, taxi vouchers or bus fare, is provided on a case-by-case basis. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call to apply; an appointment is required for most services. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are no fees for services. Medi-Cal is accepted.
