The center provides mental health-related services primarily for people who live in South Central Los Angeles and surrounding communities. Services include in child abuse counseling, mental health evaluation, person crisis intervention, outpatient mental health facilities, parent child interactive therapy (PCIT) psychiatric day treatment, psychiatric disorder counseling, psychiatric emergency room care, sex offender counseling for adolescents, specialized information and referral and veteran reintegration counseling. Most services are restricted to children, adolescents, adults, and older adults who live in the Southeast Health District and parts of the San Antonio Health District; this area includes Compton, South Central Los Angeles and Willowbrook.

On-site crisis intervention is provided for children, adolescents and adults who are in psychiatric emergencies. Staff evaluate the situation to determine the need of the individual. People may be admitted for treatment voluntarily or involuntarily.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call for non-urgent appointments. Walk in for urgent/emergency evaluations. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE Fees are on a sliding scale; Medi-Cal, Medicare and private insurance are accepted.
