The agency provides comprehensive mental health services for people of all ages and ethnic groups in Los Angeles County. There are no direct services provided at the administrative location. Age restrictions apply; there are no geographic restrictions.

The agency's programs include infant and early childhood mental health services, adult outpatient services, and psychiatric day treatment for people age 18 or older who have a chronic mental illness which seriously interferes with daily functioning. These services are provided at the agency's El Camino Mental Health Center, Santa Fe Springs.

The agency provides mental health services for older adults at its Pasadena Family center location. Services include psychiatric case management, counseling and psychiatric medication monitoring.

Outpatient and day treatment services for children and adolescents who have a variety of diagnoses including those who have been abused or neglected are provided at several Pacific clinic locations. Services for youth are provided at the Child/Adolescent Outpatient and Day Treatment, Bonita Family Center, Hudson Family Center, Monrovia, Sierra Family Center, Pasadena Family Center locations.

The agency also provides advocacy and supportive substance abuse and mental health services for homeless mentally ill people through the Passageways program. The agency also provides an MHSA funded Wellness Center to provide services and support to mental health clients who are in recovery and no longer need intensive mental health services. The Wellness Center provides self-help mental health support groups; peer to peer support groups; social/recreational activities; medication evaluation and support services; employment and education services, and integrated services and support for co-occurring disorders, such as substance abuse. In addition the centers provide physical health screenings, and assistance with referrals to health care providers. The program also provides healthy living and health management education. Referrals are given for, housing possibilities, benefit maintenance and short term or crisis mental health services. The agency also supports two Client-Run Centers, at the Santa Fe Springs site and at a site in El Monte, in which support services are provided by staff who were once themselves clients.

The Transitional Age Youth Program serves young adults to age 25, and provides case/care management and transitional services including housing referrals and mental health counseling.

The infant and early childhood mental health services include individual therapy, family therapy, play-based therapy, parenting education and outpatient mental health services.

The Children's Specialty Services location serves children ages 0 to 5, who have Medi-Cal insurance. During the COVID-19 pandemic, services are being provided remotely. Staff are trained in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). Services include mental health evaluations, individual and family therapy, play-based therapy, psychiatric case management and parenting education. County-funded services include Family Preservation, Comprehensive Assessment Services, and Pasadena Systems of Care for DCFS-referred clients; CalWorks referrals for mental health support services; and school-based mental health programs for El Monte Unified School District, Pasadena Unified School District and Los Angeles Unified School District. The El Monte program is done in conjunction with the Los Angeles County Department of Probation.

The Hye-Wrap location provides school-based counseling for Armenian youth enrolled in the public schools in the Glendale and Van Nuys areas.

The Family Outreach Services location provides an intensive, one-on-one behavioral intervention program for children/youth. The program address difficult behavioral problems such as physcial aggression, verbal outbursts, oppositional behavior and problems with social interactions. Service may include therapeutic services, medication support services, intensive case management services, home-based mental health services, and crisis intervention.

The Brighter Tomorrows Program is for older adults age 60 and older who are struggling with emotional distress or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Services are provided at the Pasadena Family Services location or in the home or workplace of the individual. Home and work visits are subject to geographic restrictions. Applicant's must show Medi-Cal card, PHP or Healthy Families card, SS, picture ID, and a minute order for foster children.
