Public Awareness/Education ( AIDS/HIV Issues )

The agency provides HIV/AIDS services for people who live, primarily in the East Los Angeles area. Services include a community wellness program and public awareness/education on AIDS issues. There are no geographic restrictions.
The PROMOTORA program trains community workers in AIDS prevention strategies and AIDS issues. The training consists of four 3 hour sessions, which are presented both in English and in Spanish,. Participants are encouraged to go out into their own communities or organizations and train others in AIDS prevention methods. The program offers a stipend of $100 to community workers who conduct at least four trainings. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call for information or to apply. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are no fees for service.
