The senior center provides services for older adults age 55 and older who live in Los Angeles County, and who are a member of this Senior Citizen Center. Services include blood pressure screening, federal income tax information, general counseling services, geriatric counseling, landlord/tenant assistance, medicare information/counseling, podiatry/foot care, recreational/leisure/arts instruction, senior centers and will preparation assistance. Age restrictions apply for some services; there are no geographic restrictions.
The center's health services include screening for blood pressure, hearing, glucose and podiatry problems. It offers monthly discussions on various health topics including nutrition and geriatric medicine.
Legal services include consumer assistance, landlord/tenant assistance, Medicare counseling and tax assistance.
Recreational/leisure activities and programs include card and board games, crafts, dancing, exercise, holiday and seasonal activities, senior movies, a book club, computer classes, knitting classes and language classes. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call or walk in for information. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE The annual membership fee is $18.00. There are fixed fees which vary according to service; call for information.
