School Readiness Programs

The school readiness program targets families with children 0 to 5 years of age who live in Huntington Park (90255) and South Gate (900280). Geographic restrictions apply.
The school readiness program, "Pasitos", prepares children, age 0 to 5, to succeed in school. Components of the program include assessment services for health and development-related issues, life skills training and parenting skills training; counseling; health insurance enrollment; Motheread/Fatheread literacy programs; a Pre-Kindergarten Academy and a Kindergarten Transition Program; and referrals to community resources. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call for information. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are no fees for service.
