The program provides immigration services primarily for newly-arrived immigrants and other residing immigrants who live in Los Angeles County. Services are targeted, but not restricted, to Central American refugees and other Latino immigrants. There are no geographic restrictions.

The program provides immigration assistance primarily for Central American and Latino immigrants who need deportation defense, have well-founded fears of persecution due to affiliations with government-targeted groups and/or who seek political asylum. Other immigration assistance includes family petitions, adjustment of status, self-petition for battered spouses, work authorization renewals and employment authorization inquiries, naturalization applications, and NACARA (Nicaraguan and Central American Relief Act) applications.

Through the Violence Against Women Act, the agency will work with victims of domestic violence, who are married to or recently divorced from U.S. citizens and legal residents, to leave their abusive relationships and independently petition for their immigration status.

The agency also provides services for DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals).

Volunteer attorneys offer legal assistance every Saturday to inform the community of their legal rights, to answer legal questions and to inform them of any changes in immigration law. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call or walk in for information or to apply for service. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are fees for some services. The average fee is $25.
