Sewing/Needlecraft Volunteer Opportunities

The agency provides volunteer opportunities to individuals living in Southern California. Volunteer opportunities include braille transcription volunteer opportunities, classroom aide volunteer opportunities, clerical volunteer opportunities, computer literacy volunteer opportunities, crafts volunteer opportunities, ESL instruction volunteer opportunities, sewing/needlecraft volunteer opportunities, and teaching/instruction volunteer opportunities. There are no geographic restrictions.
Volunteers work with individuals who are blind or visually impaired. Training is provided specific to the individual volunteer opportunities. Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age. Volunteers are not required to pay any fees or take any tests. The agency completes background checks and fingerprinting and volunteers must have identification. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call the agency to apply to become a volunteer. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE Volunteers are not asked to pay any fees or incur any costs.
