The agency provides child protective services to individuals in Los Angeles County. Services include child abuse prevention, legislative advocacy, missing persons location assistance for youth, outreach programs, parental kidnapping legal assistance, and specialized information and referral. There are no geographic restrictions.

Services including prevention of child abduction by assisting in the location of missing children and providing information and education to the community. Services include information and support for parents of missing children, registration of missing children, fingerprinting, referrals, reunification counseling and therapy, and community outreach programs.

The agency guides parents through legal and law enforcement systems as well as acts as a liaison between searching parents and law enforcement.

The agency provides community education on child safety. This includes a computerized database of missing children, referrals to other services and workshops about how to prevent abductions.
