The program provides information and referral services to residents of the San Francisco Bay Area. Services include 211 lead agencies, comprehensive information and referral, directory publication, and online databases. The services are restricted to the areas of San Francisco, Marin, San Mateo, Napa, Santa Clara and Solano counties.

2-1-1 is free, confidential, multi-lingual and available 24 hours daily. Callers are linked to community resources in times of personal crisis or in times of disaster. Also offers an online database to service providers and the general public.

Although the agency provides information and referral on all topics of health and human services, the agency does maintain specialized telephone lines that service the Chinese and Spanish speaking immigrant communities.

The agency partners closely with other 211 service providers in the Bay Area that cover Alameda, Contra Costa, Mendocino/Sonoma, and Santa Cruz counties. LANGUAGES OTHER THAN ENGLISH Chinese-Cantonese, Chinese-Mandarin, Spanish, and a tele-interpretor service is available in over 150 languages.
