Specialized Information and Referral ( AIDS/HIV )


The agency provides HIV/AIDS services to people of all ages with HIV/AIDS in Los Angeles county. Service include chronic disease self management programs, disease/disability information, health/disability related support groups, health/disability related counseling, hypnotherapy, individual and group advocacy, needle exchange/distribution programs, social clubs/events, a speakers bureau, and wellness programs. There are no geographic restrictions.

This is a membership organization that provides comprehensive information, support and wellness programs for people living with HIV/AIDS. Free membership is available to anyone with a documented HIV diagnosis, proof of a Los Angeles county residence, and a valid ID and may include access to group support, mental health services, social events, HIV education, and wellness activities.

Wellness programs may include acupuncture, chiropractic treatments, nutritional guidance and yoga.

In partnership with Antioch University, the Being Alive Mental Health Program provides psychotherapy with counselors specializing in LGBT and HIV-related issues.

Speakers are available for schools, businesses, AA meetings, hospitals and other groups. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Visit the agency's website for information or to download an application; or call to apply. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are no fee to become a member. Fees vary for service.
