Spouse/Intimate Partner Abuse Counseling ( Male Spouse/Intimate Partner Abusers )

The program provides domestic violence services for people who live in Los Angeles County. Some services are targeted, but not restricted, to TANF recipients. Services include abuse counseling, domestic violence support groups for battered women, spouse/domestic partner abuse counseling for battered women and male abusers, and spouse/domestic partner abuse prevention. There are no geographic restrictions.

Domestic violence treatment includes group therapy for male batterers and a support group for women living in violent relationships. The program also provides special domestic violence services for CalWORKs participants. People who are TANF recipients or TANF-eligible are eligible for this service. Services provided include case management and individual and group spousal abuse counseling. Referrals for legal advocacy and employment services are available as needed. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call to apply; an appointment is required for most services. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are no fees for most victims of domestic violence services; however, batterers pay on a sliding fee scale of $25-$50 per session.
