State Unemployment Insurance ( Disaster Victims )
The program provides disaster services to people whose employment was affected by a disaster. The program provides special job search placement services and unemployment insurance benefits. There are no geographic restrictions.
Disaster Unemployment Insurance Benefits are provided both to employed and self-employed people whose work was interrupted by the disaster. LANGUAGES OTHER THAN ENGLISH Spanish-speaking staff are available at all offices; see site detail for other language capabilities. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Walk in to the closest EDD office. Applicants must prove that the job loss was disaster-related. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are no fees for service.
