Subject Specific Public Awareness/Education ( Domestic Violence Issues )


The agency provides domestic violence services for people of all ages in the San Gabriel Valley. Services include anger management, domestic violence intervention programs, legal issues education/information, organizational training services, spouse/intimate partner abuse prevention for women age 18 and up, a speakers bureau and subject specific public awareness/education. Age and geographic restrictions may apply for some services.

The Batterers' Intervention Program is a 52 week for men and women. The program is approved by the County of Los Angeles Probation Department.

A 40-hour domestic violence certificate training is available for social service professionals, volunteers, law enforcement personnel, students, friends of people involved in domestic violence situations and any other interested community members. The training meets all requirements set forth by the State of California, Office of Emergency Services.

Prevention, awareness and support to break the cycle of domestic violence is provided for women age 18 and older. General information and materials about domestic violence and violence prevention are available to anyone. Anger management classes are available for adults and youth.

Referrals for additional services are available for women involved with agency services. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call for information or to apply. ID and proof of age and income may be required for some prevention or support services. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE The certificate training is $325 per person; group discounts may be available for companies and organizations with 10 or more participants. There are no fees for prevention and awareness services.
