Subject Specific Public Awareness/Education ( Older Adult/Aging Issues, Personal Finances Issues )


The coalition provides consumer assistance for older adults and community groups and organizations that serve older adults in the South Bay area. Services include fraud prevention, speakers/speakers bureaus, subject specific public awareness/education about fraud and personal finances issues, and elder abuse prevention volunteer opportunities. There are no geographic restrictions.

The coalition is made of volunteers from social services, law enforcement and financial institutions who work together to raise awareness, prevent and stop elder financial abuse. The coalition maintains speakers who present free informational programs to groups of 25 or more. An informational video and quick tip fact sheets are also available.

The coalition provides online information about common current scams and lists suggestions for older adults to protect themselves from financial exploitation.
