The club provides services for youth age 6 to 18, and their families, who live in the greater Whittier area. Services include boys and girls clubs and summer camps. There are no geographic restrictions.

The recreational services include games, sports, music, arts and crafts and special events. Staff can also assist youth who need guidance related to career choice or locating a job, and can work with young people who need academic or literacy tutoring. The literacy and tutoring programs provide both individual and group assistance. Students who need to improve reading skills and who need academic help are matched with an adult tutor who provides help on a one-to-one basis. In addition, a homework assistance program involves students and adults who work in groups to complete school assignments.

The organization also provides a support group for parents which gives them an opportunity to share information about parenting skills, experience, and problems; to share support; and to enhance their parenting skills. The teen support group provides teenagers with an opportunity to discuss and share problems such as peer pressure, drug and alcohol use, communication problems with parents, and school difficulties.

Summer day camp is available for 10 weeks during the summer; call for specific dates. Early morning hours are available for an additional fee. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call or walk in to apply. Call to register for summer day camp. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There is an annual membership fee of $45 for the school year. An early morning program is available for an additional fee. The summer membership fee is $450. Scholarship opportunities are available.
