Talklines/Warmlines ( Youth, LGBTQ Individuals )

Provider: TREVOR PROJECT, THE

The organization provides mental health services for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or questioning youth, ages 13 to 24, and their friends and families, in Los Angeles County. Service includes a 24-hour text, chat and helpline, internet based crisis intervention, electronic community networks and a suicide prevention hotline. Services are targeted to youth under 25; however, people of any age may call. There are no geographic restrictions.

The helpline offers support regarding issues of sexual identity, orientation and expression. Service is also available by TrevorChat which provides confidential instant messaging and TrevorText for confidential text messaging; and TrevorSpace which provides an online community for LGBTQ youth and their friends or families.

The project also provides the Trevor Support Center where people can find answers to frequently asked questions, and explore resources related to sexual orientation, gender identity and more. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call, text or visit the agency's website for services. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are no fees for services.
