Transitional Housing/Shelter ( Pregnant Women, Homeless Families )

The agency provides housing services for homeless families with children in who live in SPA 7. Services include transitional housing/shelter targeted to homeless families and homeless pregnant women. The agency DOES NOT provide Emergency Shelter. The agency cannot accommodate people who use alcohol or drugs, or people who have a severe mental or emotional disturbance or who are not psychiatrically stable. The maximum length of stay is three months. Services are restricted to SPA 7.

The agency has relationships with apartments. The agency will place the family in an apartment and pay subsidized rent for up to three months.

Support services include case management, financial planning, parenting classes and housing assistance. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call to arrange an intake appointment. Intake social workers usually will arrange an appointment within a few days. Valid picture ID is required for all adults. Eligible individuals must have a job with a minimum of 20 hours and must have proof of homelessness. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are no fees for service.
