Vocational Rehabilitation ( Individuals Recovering from a Drug Use Disorder )

The agency provides employment services for at-risk youth and adults, ex-offenders and recovering drug abusers, who live in Los Angeles County. Services include job readiness, prejob guidance, vocational education and vocational rehabilitation. There are no geographic restrictions.

The Center provides a job readiness program which assists clients with job searching, completing job applications, resume writing and interviewing skills. Services are provided by Employment Peer Mentor specialists. Peer mentors provide guidance and assistance based on the client's skill level.

The agency offers a paid apprenticeship program to at-risk youth and adults, rehabilitated ex-offenders, and recovering drug abusers. Participants are trained in areas such as data entry, computer skills and customer service. The program lasts from 12 to 18 months.

The agency in partnership with Los Angeles County Office of Diversion and Reentry (ODR) offers the Skills and Experience for the Careers of Tomorrow (SECTOR) program for justice-system-involved adults. Services include, job skills training, paid work experience, financial assistance through stipends during 10-week program duration and mental health support and case management.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call or walk in for services. AB109 Probation referrals are accepted. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are no fees for services.
