The community-based agency provides services for individuals and organizations through social action programs and intervention activities that address the effects of drugs and alcohol on the community. Services include neighborhood improvement groups for youth, political action groups, and volunteer programs for youth of high school age. Services are restricted to South Los Angeles residents.

Agency programs include Kinship in Action; South Central Youth Empowered thru Action; and Prevention Network. The agency provides Adoption and Foster/Kinship Care support groups for community residents in South Los Angeles through the Kinship in Action program.

The South Central Youth Empowered thru Action (SC-YEA) is a team of high school students committed to improving South Central neighborhoods through recreational activities that prevent involvement with alcohol and drugs and political involvement to improve the community. SC-YEA members are also involved in political issues that impact their schools and community. Members research, plan and implement possible solutions to issues involving economic development, housing and education.

Prevention Network is a multi-disciplinary alliance of social service providers and community members advocating for social services in the South Los Angeles community. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call or walk in for service. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE Membership to the organization is $20 per year, but no one is denied inclusion due to inability to pay.
