The library provides standard library services including book, DVD and compact disc loan, telephone reference, email reference, microfilm and microfiche reader/printers. Services are provided at five locations. There are no geographic restrictions.

The library also offers a special program for Santa Monica residents who are unable to leave their homes due to illness, disability or age. Library volunteers deliver requested materials or will select a range of materials for the borrower, if requested.

Non- residents are required to pay an annual fee for library cards. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call or visit the library for services. There is a TDD in the reference department which hearing impaired people may call for reference assistance. Additional locations require self service access application before entering facility. For individuals without Santa Monica Library cards, computer access is $2 per hour.
