The agency provides advocacy for people of all ages in Los Angeles County. Services include individual advocacy targeted to disaster victims and welfare rights assistance targeted by not restricted to older adults. There are no geographic restrictions.

Applicants who are younger than age 60 must meet federal poverty guidelines; West Hollywood residents must meet low to moderate-income guidelines established by the city.

Welfare rights assistance is provided to help people obtain benefits and services to which they are entitled, such as Medi-Cal, Medicare, Social Security and SSI.

Special advocacy is provided in response to disasters to help people apply for and receive FEMA or other emergency assistance. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call to apply. An appointment is required; clients are pre-screened. Homebound seniors call for an in-home visit. Proof of age and income are required; West Hollywood residents must provide proof of residency. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are no fees for services.
