Wellness Programs ( Older Adults )

The hospital provides community health education programs at the hospital and other community facilities. Services include breastfeeding instruction; diabetes management programs; wellness programs for seniors; general health education programs; Lamaze prepared childbirth instruction; programs for the Asian/Pacific Islander, Hispanic, and older adults in the community; and weight loss assistance programs.
Diabetes management clinic features include screening, consultations, seminars, menu and recipe assistance, food tasting, and physical fitness programs designed for diabetics.
Wellness programs for seniors are part of the "Golden Years Club" a free membership organization for older adults, age 55. Club activities include health education lectures, health screenings, excercise classes, a meal program one day a week, and other recreational events.

Call to apply. Registration is required for most programs.
