Women's Advocacy Groups
Provider: CALIFORNIA STATE COMMISSION ON THE STATUS OF WOMEN AND GIRLS
The agency provides advocacy services for individuals in Los Angeles County and throughout the state of California. Services include directory/resource list publication, legislative advocacy, planning/coordinating/advisory groups, public awareness/education, speakers bureaus and women's advocacy groups. There are no geographic restrictions.
The commission advocates with the governor, legislature, and other policymakers, and provides information to the public, in areas of child care, civil rights, economic security, education, employment, family law, health, long-term care and aging issues, reproductive health, violence, women and girls in the criminal justice system, and women veterans.
