Hate Crimes Prevention

The agency provides community action groups services for individuals in Los Angeles. Service include constitutional/civil rights groups, hate crimes prevention, and human relations groups. Services are geographically restricted to Los Angeles.
The commission identifies human relations conflicts that exist in the city, establishes policies and approves programs to help resolve the conflicts, monitors and reports on hate crimes, coordinates with commission staff to implement the plans.
The commission works to reduce discrimination and prejudice which is based on race, ethnicity, sex, sexual orientation, religion, national origin, marital status, age, disability or medical condition.

Call or visit the agency's website for information. People may attend monthly commission meetings without prior arrangement.
Meetings are usually held on the fourth Wednesday of every other month at 12:00pm at City Hall, 200 N. Spring St., 10th Floor, Room 1060, Los Angeles, 90012.
