Home Telemedicine

The agency provides services for veterans of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF), Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF), and Operation New Dawn (OND) and their families. Services include home telemedicine and veterans reintegration counseling. There are no geographic restrictions.

Services are offered at multiple locations; counselors will also travel to work with women veterans in their homes, places of business or other locations. Services are also offered remotely via computer-based Telehealth sessions.

Veterans reintegration counseling services include resilience training, resiliency training groups, web-based resiliency training, consultations, educational workshops, and outreach and engagement.

Resiliency Training for couples and families with children include training sessions that help develop a family narrative timeline which is used to teach families how to manage feelings, improve communication, and learn problem solving and goal setting. Services are also available at a distance through a computer and webcam.

Resiliency training group sessions are targeted to families, parents, or children in specific age groups (school aged children, teenagers), are generally 90 minutes in length, and provide an introduction to the key skills taught in Resiliency Training.

Web-based resiliency training includes FOCUS World (www.focusworld.org), an interactive tool available for individuals, couples, and families.

Consultations are available for families and service providers and provide guidance and professional expertise on specific topics or traumas (child's adjustments, grief, loss, etc.).

Educational workshops cover specific topics such as developmental reactions to reintigration or to deployment(s).

Outreach and engagement presentations include service overviews, and education about child development, the unique needs of military and veteran families, and the types of available resiliency training strategies.
