Job Training Formats
Provider: CITRUS COMMUNITY COLLEGE DISTRICT
The college provides employment services for adults in Los Angeles County. Services include welfare recipient employment programs for CalWORKs eligible students, prejob guidance, job training and work study programs for TANF recipients.
The program also provides short term vocational training in occupational focused "career ladders" which lead to jobs in fields such as health occupations, supervision, transportation, early childhood education and office occupations.
Work-Study programs for TANF and GR recipients provide part-time employment of up to 20 hour per week, for full-time (12 units) students. A CalWORKs participant may receive Work-Study assistance for a period of two years, while in school.
