The school district administers comprehensive education services for children in transitional kindergarten through grade 12 and for adults who live in Artesia, Cerritos, Hawaiian Gardens and portions of Lakewood, Norwalk and Long Beach. Services include unified school districts. The district has 19 elementary schools, five junior high schools, three four-year high schools, one junior/senior high school, one continuation opportunity school and one adult school. Special services are available for students who have a mental disability and other students who need special counseling.
