Animal Adoption

The program provides animal services for Los Angeles County residents. Services include animal adoption and animal foster care/rescue volunteer opportunities. There are no geographic restrictions.
Best Friends is working collaboratively with animal rescue groups, city shelters, and passionate individuals who are all dedicated to saving the lives of cats and dogs in Los Angeles shelters.
The pet adoption center has dogs and cats of all breeds and sizes for adoption.
Best Friends leads the No Kill Los Angeles (NKLA) initiative and the NKLA Coalition. The initiative brought together animal rescue organizations, city shelters and individuals dedicated to ending the killing of healthy and treatable pets in Los Angeles shelters. NKLA provides resources and services to families and their pets and provides shelters and rescue groups with tools to save more lives.
