The Port provides harbor services for the City of Los Angeles. Services include harbors/marinas, special events and waterfront development. There are no geographic restrictions.
The harbor serves as a commercial shipping center. Waterfront development projects include environmental initiatives, progressive security measures and recreational and educational facilities. The port has 26 cargo terminals and also operates a World Cruise Center.
