The organization provides assistance with Medicare-related appeals and complaints for Medicare beneficiaries in California. Services include medicare quality improvement organizations and Medicare appeals/complaints. There are no geographic restrictions.

The program assists with Medicare issues related to facility quality of care, facility discharge and review, and expedited appeals. If a Medicare beneficiary does not feel they have received appropriate care from a Medicare provider, such as a hospital or physician, they can request a medical record review of the care they have received. Facilities may include hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation facilities, home health agencies, hospices ambulance companies, doctors, nurses and other providers who receive Medicare funds. Complaints are reviewed by an independent physician, who determines if a standard of care was met. Individuals can check the status of their case online.
