Provider: CITY OF INGLEWOOD POLICE DEPARTMENT
The agency provides law enforcement services for the city of Inglewood. Services include abandoned vehicle reporting, crime prevention, emergency protective orders, law enforcement complaints, municipal police, neighborhood watch programs, and temporary restraining orders services. The service area is restricted to the city of Inglewood.
Temporary restraining order assistance is provided on a short term (72 hrs.), emergency basis only. Regular TROs must be applied for at a Superior Court location.
The Community Affairs Section provides crime awareness and prevention programs which deal with a variety of topics for groups of youth and adults. The department coordinates a large volunteer business and neighborhood watch program and participates in a Community Oriented Policing Program which educates and networks individuals, agencies, and groups in prevention and reporting activities in an effort to reduce crime.
