Parenting Skills Classes (Foster Parents)

The agency provides family support services to individuals who live in Los Angeles County. Services include parenting skills development and workshops. There are no geographic restrictions.
Parenting skills development services are available to foster parents and potential foster parents, as well as birth families in the agency's Permanence and Safety-Model Approach to Partnership in Parenting (PS-MAPP). The PS-MAPP is a 33 hour interactive group format, led by three facilitators. It supports maintaining the family and community connections essential to the child's successful return home. Services include classes, peer relationships, and support networks.
