Provider: REDONDO BEACH UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT
The school district administers comprehensive education services for children in preschool through grade twelve, in the city of Redondo Beach through eight elementary schools, two intermediate schools, one high school, and one continuation school. Eight child care centers are also provided. Services include comprehensive education services, early childhood education, and special education services.
All children who have special needs receive an individual education plan and are placed in appropriate special education classes. Special programs are offered, through a contract with the county, for children who are severely disabled. The district serves as a provider district for students in preschool through grade 8 who are severely and non-severely handicapped. Referrals from surrounding districts are processed through the students' district of residence.
