Court Ordered Parenting Programs

The agency provides family support services for families with children of all ages in Los Angeles and surrounding counties. Services include court ordered parenting programs and parenting skills education. There are no geographic restrictions.
Classes and services are available online.
Curriculum is based on the Breakthrough Parenting and Parenting Beyond Conflict models for parents who are court-ordered, who are involved in child custody disputes or divorce, with an emphasis placed on reducing parent alienation. Topics covered in all classes include: modern approaches to parenting, effective communication skills, promoting self esteem and self-discipline, stress management, conflict resolution, talking with children about sensitive subjects, and establishing age-appropriate expectations. Participants receive letters of completion and staff will provide progress reports to the court as necessary. Home visits may be available.
