The national child abuse hotline provides crisis intervention, information and referral, and emotional support, for children who are survivors of abuse, for adult survivors and for their families. It also assists people who fear they will abuse their children.
Professional crisis counselors offer crisis intervention and information and referral. Staff will refer callers to appropriate agencies for additional help. The confidential Hotline offers crisis intervention, information, literature, and referrals to thousands of emergency, social service, and support resources.
Staff can also provide information and guidance about how, when and where to report child abuse throughout the United States and Canada. LANGUAGES OTHER THAN ENGLISH Spanish; interpreters in 170 different languages are available on the hotline.
