Pension Benefits Assistance
Provider: WESTERN STATES PENSION ASSISTANCE PROJECT
The agency provides assistance to older adults and their families who live in, or who have worked in, California, Arizona, Nevada or Hawaii. Services include legal information and counseling related to retirement benefits sponsored by private companies; unions; churches; and local, state and federal governments. There are no geographic restrictions.
The project helps retirees with tracking down benefits from past employers, submitting claims for denied benefits, correcting pension miscalculations, and dealing with demands for overpayment.
