Rent Payment Assistance (AIDS)
Provider: ALLIANCE FOR HOUSING AND HEALING - LONG BEACH
The agency provides financial assistance for very low-income people living with AIDS, and who are unable to work because of the HIV disease, in West Hollywood. Services include electric service payment assistance, gas service payment assistance, and rent payment assistance. Services restricted to residents of West Hollywood.
AFA financial grants are intended to provide limited help supplementing existing income or provide assistance while waiting for government assistance. Expenses such as rent, transportation and utility bills may be covered. In addition, free vitamins are provided through participating pharmacies.
All programs require documentation, and grant amounts vary per program. Housing and utility bill grants are paid directly to the landlords/mortgage holders and utility companies.

Application Procedure
Call for information or to apply. An appointment is required. The following documentation is required in all programs: Picture ID, application form, diagnosis of HIV disease signed by a California certified physician, rent agreement, proof of employment, proof of residence, and proof of income.
